Activities of the Ministry of Public Administration presented to secondary school students

Today, Minister of Public Administration, Ms. Suzana Pribilović, welcomed the students of the Secondary Economic School “Mirko Vešović” and the Secondary Electrical School “Vaso Aligrudić” from Podgorica, on the occasion of the Open Government Partnership Week – “Global Call to Action – Government Serving Citizens” and the Open Doors Day. The Minister of Public Administration and the Director of the Secondary Electrotechnical School “Vaso Aligrudić”, Veselin Pićurić, signed an Agreement on Cooperation with the Secondary Electrical School “Vaso Aligrudić” from Podgorica.

Minister Pribilović pointed out that open government implies a public administration that is efficient, transparent, open and accessible to citizens, but also to young people, and this is precisely what the Ministry of Public Administration have been working on.

“Governments around the world have recognized the need to introduce open government reforms to better meet the demands of their citizens, including economic, environmental, political and social needs. The involvement of citizens and civil society, especially young people, is crucial for the implementation of open government reforms, and the reformers inside and outside the government must build broad coalitions to achieve change”, said Ms. Pribilović.

She stated that, in accordance with the goals of this partnership, Montenegro promotes cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, and in this spirit the Agreement on Cooperation with the Secondary Electrical School “Vaso Aligrudić” is signed today.

The agreement defines the implementation of practical classes for one or more educational programs for individual groups of students who will be referred to practical lessons. The classes will be carried out in the premises of the Ministry of Public Administration in accordance with the implementation plan to be prepared by the School, after approval from the Ministry.

Director General for International Cooperation, Mr. Admir Šahmanović, Director General for Good Public Administration and the Activities of NGOs, Ms. Marija Hajduković, Head of e-Services Development, Ms. Mirjana Begović and Secretary of the National Open Government Partnership, Ms. Ana Gojković, spoke about the work and activities of the Ministry of Public Administration for the students.
